Adobe has announced the new features in its upcoming Creative Cloud update. Creative Cloud (CC) uses cloud storage to sync settings between devices. The new version will be released on 17 June.
Adobe Dreamweaver CC has a greatly simplified and modernised user interface and a number of outdated features have been removed to make it feel lighter and faster. A new CSS Designer can be used to visually apply CSS properties such as gradients and box shadows.
It has a new Fluid Grid Layout interface that makes it easier to design for the various screen sizes used by computers and devices, Adobe’s Edge Web Fonts that allows designers to embed more fonts and PhoneGap support to build and package native iOS and Android apps.
Adobe Flash Professional CC has been rebuilt from the ground up to be faster, modular, extensible, reliable, more focused and more efficient than before. Since it is now a 64-bit application, it should be more stable and handle larger files.
It has a streamlined user interface with dark and light themes, enhanced HTML5 support with the updated CreateJS Toolkit to create buttons, hit areas and motion curves, support for real-time mobile testing to debug content on iOS and Android devices and a more powerful code editor with the Scintilla library that can search and replace across multiple files.
Adobe Edge has been updated so designers can create custom templates and add motion paths like those they use in Flash. There is now support for left and right swipe events in mobile projects and animations can be stored for free on Adobe’s content delivery network powered by Akamai.
Adobe Photoshop CC has a new camera shake reduction engine that can salvage motion-blurred photos, an updated RAW editing engine that can do continuous, non-destructive edits of RAW images and be used as a filter on any image.
It also has a new custom-shaped healing brush, upright horizon and perspective correction tools, redesigned smart sharpen tool, better upsampling when blowing up an image, rounded rectangles with editable corners, multi-shape and path selection and Behance network integration.
